Fifty years, one family

Ron and Mary Baretta opened Mountain Gymnastics Training Center in Fort Collins in 1976. Ron was a collegiate all-around champion, later inducted into the CSU Sports Hall of Fame. Mary studied dance. The gym grew a preschool, a dance studio, cheer, ninja, a summer pool and day camp, and became Mountain Kids.

Their daughters went on to open gyms of their own in Louisville and Wheat Ridge. Here, Jeni Baretta has run operations since 2018. The rainbow painted on the Mountain Kids van carries the line that still sums it up: a great place to grow.

“Our kids have been going to MK for two years and I can’t possibly say enough good things about our experience here. Our daughters, 7 and 9, have grown so much in their gymnastics program. Our living room and backyard has turned into a gymnasium … Love this place so much!”
